Adegra 100mg Tablet is a phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitor. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis, thereby increasing blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. This helps you achieve and maintain a hard, erect penis suitable for sexual activity.
Adegra 100mg Tablet is used to treat Erectile Dysfunction.
Sildenafil is a specific inhibitor of cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) that is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Danafil (Sildenafil) enhances the effect of nitric oxide (NO) by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which is responsible for cGMP degradation in the corpus cavernous, resulting in smooth muscle relaxation and blood flow to the corpus cavernous.
When Sildenafil is taken with organic nitrates for angina, it can cause hypotension. Cimetidine, a drug used to treat gastric ulcers, as well as some antibiotics like Erythromycin and Rifampicin, and protease inhibitors like Ritonavir and Saquinavir, used to treat HIV infection, may raise Sildenafil levels in the blood.
Any component of sildenafil is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to it. Because sildenafil enhances the hypotensive effects of nitrates, it is not recommended for patients who are taking organic nitrates on a regular or intermittent basis.
Sildenafil is not recommended for women. Category B pregnancy. Sildenafil has not been studied in pregnant women in a sufficient and well-controlled manner. Sildenafil has been shown to be teratogenic and embryotoxic in animal studies.
Protect from light and moisture by storing in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Keep out of children's reach.
